Department of IT Changed as Department of Electronics and Information Technology
The Department of Information Technology,( DIT) under Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has been renamed as Department of Electronics and Information Technology ( DeitY).
The rechristening of the Department of Information Technology (DIT) as Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) is ceremonially formalized at the hands of Sri Kapil Sibal , Minister of Communications and Information Technology) today at Electronics Niketan, New Delhi .
